Most of you have probably noticed that us Belgian people have 4 different types of garbage bins. We try to recycle the best we can considering the somewhat complicated rules. But still, a lot of people disregard these rules and go as far as to leave their garbage anywhere. To set an example we’re going to spend a day cleaning up the Belgian beach.
The Belgian beach still contains a lot of filth, and the seafront cities are not able to clear away all the waste on their own, so we decided to do a big beach-side clean-up!
Here’s the plan: We’ll go to Oostende by train and take the tram to Raversijde. From there on we’ll return to Oostende by foot. It’ll be a walk of about 8 km. Come help us make a difference, we’d really appreciate it. Meanwhile, you get to enjoy the seaside and get some fresh air.
WHEN? Sunday, the 17th of March, 9:30
WHERE? St-Pieters train station (Main entrance)
PRICE? The only thing you have to buy is your own train ticket to Oostende.
